These new models, the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6, have hit the market. They’ve increased the screen size by 50%, and now it has a much more appealing display as well.
The number of sports has increased to 30 and the SpO2 sensor has been added to track oxygen levels while tracking blood oxygen levels. Furthermore, sleep stages and REM sleep are now included in the Fitbit Charge 4. It’s a powerful tracker but it still doesn’t have GPS like the other trackers on this list.
The budget option comparable to the old model is available now at an affordable price of $59.99 while the premium Amazfit Band 5 is listed for more than this.
Xiaomi has opted to keep their pricing the same throughout Europe as they did with the Mi Band 5, priced at £39.99.
While the Mi Band 5 doesn’t offer a huge step up from its predecessor, the larger screen and SpO2 make it substantially more functional.
The sleep tracking feature does an excellent job of giving you a full picture of your sleep, including identifying sleep stages and the quality of your sleep. The SpO2 sensor is used to calculate how well you breathe while asleep, which can be a sign of apnea in the dream. Nonetheless, our review team felt that while the tracker did include estimates of total hours slept as accurately as other budget trackers on the market, it did calculate scores such as REM too generously.
Battery life has increased to fourteen days, however, “normal use” in our tests only lasted for seven days. This is actually not bad at all.
