Mia Goth is a $2 million net worth English actress and model. Goth modeled as a teenager before making her film debut in “Nymphomaniac” in 2013. Mia has appeared in several films, including “The Survivalist” (2015), “A Cure for Wellness” (2016), “Emma” (2020), and “X” (2022), and the television series “The Tunnel” (2013).
Childhood
On October 25, 1993, Mia Goth was born in Southwark, London, England, as Mia Gypsy Mello da Silva Goth. Mia was born to Eric, a Canadian father, and Rachel, a Brazilian mother. Her maternal grandparents are Maria Gladys and Lee. Rachel was twenty years old when Mia was born. The family relocated to Brazil two weeks later so Rachel’s family could help raise Mia. Goth’s parents divorced when she was three years old. And when she was five, she returned to London with her mother.

Mia stated in 2017 “AnOther” magazine, “I remember leaving Brazil and how difficult it was. At five, you form such strong bonds. One of my earliest memories is holding my grandmother’s hand in Copacabana and thinking, ‘This is where I live, and this is where I’ll grow up. Even as a five-year-old, I appreciated the beauty of that place, and knew it was special. That I was lucky, and that not everywhere was like this”. Mia and Rachel moved to Nova Scotia to be closer to Eric when she was 10, and Goth “went to seven schools in one year.” When Goth was 12, Mia and her mother relocated to Catford in southeast London, where she attended secondary school.
Career
Mia signed a contract with Storm Model Management after fashion photographer Gemma Booth discovered her at London’s Underage Festival. She soon appeared in ads for Miu Miu and “Vogue.” She began auditioning for films at the age of 16, and made her acting debut in 2013 in the Future Unlimited “Haunted Love” music video (directed by her then-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf), the British-French crime drama “The Tunnel,” and the Lars von Trier film “Nymphomaniac.” Goth debuted in the short film “Magpie” in 2014, and in 2015, she starred as the lead in “The Survivalist,” played the daughter of amateur mountain climber Beck Weathers in the biographical film “Everest,” and appeared as a guest star on the BBC One series “Wallander.”
