The U.S. visa process for Greek citizens has been made much more straightforward by the passage of the Greek Visa Waiver Program Act of 2009. This law allows citizens of Greece to visit the United States for up to 90 days without a visa and requires only a passport-style photograph and a visa application form. The application can be submitted at any U.S. embassy or consulate. The process is relatively fast and is limited only by the availability of visas.

US Visa for Hungary Citizens

Hungary is not a member of the Visa Waiver Program, so Hungary citizens wanting to visit the United States must apply for a B-1/B-2 tourist/business visa. The first step is to fill out an application on the website of the U.S. Department of State. After creating an account and logging in, applicants will see a list of all the required documents. These usually include a passport, a photo, proof of funds and travel itinerary, and a Hungary police clearance certificate.

After World War II, many Central and Eastern European countries were occupied by the Soviet Union. This included Hungary, which was under communist rule from 1949 to 1989. During this time, the Soviet Union tightly controlled travel between its satellite countries and the rest of the world. As a result, it was very difficult for Hungarian citizens to obtain a visa to travel outside of the Soviet bloc.

US citizens must have a valid US passport and a Hungarian visa to enter Hungary. The US passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the applicant’s planned stay in Hungary. US citizens can stay in Hungary for up to 90 days without a visa. If you plan to stay in Hungary for a longer period of time, you will need to apply for a Hungarian visa.US Visa for Hungary Citizens
