The Holy Cloth of Khana Kaaba has great importance in Islam and Muslims take good care of it.   • Dyeing

The cloth is soaked in hot water as an initial step. The water consists of a mix of soap, hot water, and other elements. The soaking is done for at least 24 hours that the silk I turned into white. After this discoloration, the cloth is then dyed in black, red, and green colors.

  • Weaving

The weaving of Kiswa was done by hand in ancient times while now it is done with the help of advanced machinery. This step consumes a bit more time than dyeing but delicate artistry looks amazing on the cloth once it is done.

  • Printing

The calligraphy and designing are done on the cloth with the help of efficient printing tools. The imprinting of Quranic verses is done carefully and attentively.

  • Embroidery

This step consists a lot of time for manufacturers. The embroidery with the use of gold threads looks captivating. The workers do this task with utmost care and attention as the verses of Holy Quean are required to be embroidered on the cloth.

  • Preparation

The final step is to process the corners and edges of the cloth. A finishing touch is added to the Kiswa and is made ready to be draped on the Khana Kaaba. The design and display of the Holy Cloth are set and prepared for being replaced.
