Alright so before I get to the more exciting part of this post…I’ll show ya the dinner I made last night for my brother & myself.  I shall call it cheesy chicken over pasta vodka.

Ben's helping

Whole wheat pasta with Vodka sauce on top…and a baked chicken breast with provolone and cheddar cheese.  SO GOOD.  I love melty cheese.

I had to save SOME room for what I had been daydreaming about all day….

    Hey Bess- just wanted to say I love your blog!

    My favorite go-to meal is chicken fajitas on whole wheat wraps with lots of peppers and onions (and sometimes home made guac if I am up to it)

    My fav go-to dessert when I have a sweet craving is 1/2 of a Peppridge Farm whole wheat deli flat (50 calories) with a little nutella on top… it’s great, and not terrible for you either!

    I too LOVE cereal. I’d say my go to meal/snack is apple and crunchy peanut butter. I’ve been known to live on it when I have nothing else. I’ve also been known to carry a jar of peanut butter around with me…. haha

    my favorite go-to meal is pretty odd…broccoli coleslaw, Tuna, onions, and mushrooms all cooked stir-fry still and topped with some mustard and ketchup. :) I promise it’s delicious.

    My favorite go-to meal is a bowl of ice cream…JUST KIDDING. Did I really say that?

    No, but really I’m a veggie sandwich kinda gal. I love a sandwich with any kind of hearty bread and honey mustard loaded with cucumbers, lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, and maybe some pickles and swiss cheese.

    My go to meal would have to be eggs. If I was the only one around I would probably eat them twice a day, but since my littles can only have them once a day (they are only 3 and 1 after all) than I am restricted because they would want them also!

    I’m kind of a sandwich girl when I need something quick. Everything from scrambled eggs and cheese on toast to a giant sandwich roll with meat, cheese and veggies.

    Gotta say my favorite go-to-meal is spaghetti squash and pesto. I will admit that I have broken a knife trying to cut the darn thing in half so I will certainly be adding one of those to the wedding registry:)

    I usually eat cereal just as snacks bc otherwise I need about 3 bowls haha. But if I dont know what to eat for dinner I usually make an egg on toast with veggies and fruit. Random combo but I love it!

    I could eat eggs and toast EVERY day! Two eggs over easy and whole wheat toast or Ezekial bread. I love the eggs yolks extra runny.

    My favorite go to meal is Amy’s bistro veggie burgers. I just put some mustard and ketchup on and slap it between some bread with an apple on the side and I’m good to go!

    My go-to meal is definitely an omelette. It’s so super easy and quick to make plus you can switch it up whenever you want since the amount of add-ins you can use are endless :)

    My Favorite go to snacks after working out include a long list so get ready:
    Fruit and Low-Fat Yogurt because yogurt gives you a good dose of protein and a small amount of fat, while the fruit provides a boost of carbohydrates, vitamins and fiber!

    Also EGGS are an excellent source of protein, which helps rebuild your muscle tissue. I sometimes add veggies to an omelet for a dose of fiber and extra vitamins after a nice long run!

    I love having Gojiandme.com cereal that I made after my workouts its full of carbs and protein and not to much fat since all the ingredients are natural! :) Check out Goji and Me!

    I sometimes enjoy making myself a fruit smoothie with skim milk or low-fat yogurt and frozen fruit (usually peaches which are AWESOME). I make sure to include a scoop of protein powder for the ultimate refreshing post-workout fuel—and a thicker texture… I really recommend you check out my “Funfetti in a bowl” post for a good post workout fun snack

    I sometimes have Cottage cheese because it is a versatile food that you can mix with pretty much anything to make it sweet or savory. Try it mixed with fresh fruit or with tomatoes and chives for a new taste after your workout!

    My GO TO meal would be Greek Yogurt with a handfull of blueberries and protein powder (lots of it!) quick easy but SO satisfying!

    Lastly, A mini pizza on a Greek style pita does the trick! Laughin cow cheese works great on Pitas!

    My go to dinner meal would have to be lemon chicken, it’s a meal I know my kids will eat and enjoy! As for me, breakfast is usually some kind of cereal topped with blueberries and banana’s, and for lunch a spinach salad (toppings vary, but I love it with strawberries, feta, and balsamic vinegar).

    melted cheese makes EVERYTHING better. My go-to meal definitely involves peanut butter and bread. Also eggs. Eggs are a pretty frequent guest in my kitchen.

    I could say my go-to meal is oatmeal but I think 3/4 of the respondents said that! SO I will go with my #2, roasted veggies with hummus! Get creative with the veggies too! Turnips, squashes, sweet tater, broccoli, cauliflower… mmm

    I have tons of go-to foods that I buy each week, no matter what, and cereal is definitely one of them! I like to start and end each day with it. But, if we’re talking a solid, make-at-home meal I would have to say some form of pasta. I like to make a sauce out of sauteed spinach, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and tomatoes and toss it with whole wheat noodles. Healthy, fast, easy, and pretty cheap to make. Oh yeah, and delicious. The delicious is the most important part, just like with all those goodies.

    My fav and easy go to meal is homemade pizza. I just make up a batch of sauce and stick it in the freezer so I can thaw it quickly, throw it on a ww crust with some cheese and whatever toppings I have in the fridge. Yum!

    My favorite go-to meal is a mishmash of the leftovers that typically live in the fridge. Base of a mushy sweet potato, then mushy green veggies, then some chicken or tofu, topped with mustard (oh yeah) and probs some cheese, nuke it, and then mush mush mush.

    Go to has to be egg puff on a toasted sandwich thin with parmesan and sriracha hot sauce. What’s an egg puff, you ask? Well those are eggs cooked college dorm-style : in the microwave!

    Go to snack is half a bag of stale mini marshmallows. What?

    I absolutely LOVE cereal too! Could eat it every meal of the day. One of my fave healthy meals to bring for lunch at work when I’m in a time crunch is a big tupperware filled with carrots, cherry tomatoes, pepper strips, celery, and grilled chicken. Easy to eat in small bits while you work!

    Love the blog!

    My go to dinner meal has to be chicken chili! It is a one pot wonder and full of healthy items like tomatoes, beans, peppers, onions, corn and is great during these cold months! Plus the leftovers are even better ;-)

    My go to breakfast has to oatmeal. My fav flav combo is banana, walnut with a teaspoon of honey. It tastes like banana bread without actually eating a whole loaf! I also recently started putting in a spoonful of my vanilla protein instead of the honey and it sweetens it up while filling me up!

    Hello!

    I am a lover of cereal, but my go-to meal would have to be either oatmeal with yummy add-ins (PB, nuts, fruit, chocolate…) or Greek yogurt with the same (ha). But if I wanted more real food, I’d go for a baked/nuked sweet potato with a trio of whipped cream cheese, peanut butter, and hummus along with a nice big salad with cottage cheese. Yum!

    My favorite go to meal is a spinach, mushroom, cheese omelet (1 egg + 2 egg whites) with roasted veggies on the side. It’s healthy and delicious, can’t get much better than that!

    I thought I’d look crazy for saying this but it seems others agree. I’d have to say oatmeal made with milk. Just plain and simple. The texture is amazing and it’s so warm and delicious. By the way, I’m a dedicated follower of your blog :)
